First Families of the Swan River Colony - James and Sarah Drummond

The couple married 1806 in Northern Ireland. In 1829 James accompanied Mark Currie and Dr Charles Simmons to an area south of Fremantle. Had Perth Lots L57 and L58 in 1832. As Government Naturalist (without pay) he collected some 48,000 plant specimens.

Granted 5000 acres. James died 27 March 1863 in Scotland.
