Married at Perth to Mary Ann Wells 10 January 1839 who arrived in the ship 'Brothers' 1 January 1839. Mary Ann was born c1810 - she was the daughter of Major Wells. The children were all baptised in 1858. Owned several town lots - Perth W81 in 1833 and Fremantle Lot 442 in 1834. Was a member of the Perth Road Committee 1842-1844. Became a farmer and grazier. He donated pews to Wesley Church. Was a Methodist Lay Preacher. Chairman of the Swan River Mechanics Institute and a Perth City Councillor in 1870. Made a trip back to England in 1877 and returned October 1877 in the 'Charlotte Padbury'. Mary Ann died 16 April 1886 and George died 9 June 1895.
