Margaret the sister of George Bell Hodges is believed to have arrived on HMS 'Sulphur'. Married Margaret Hodges 5 December 1830 at Perth. Margaret was speared and wounded by aborigines in 1832 - Canning District. James was one of Hillman's 1835 exploration party to Williams and Hotham Rivers. James was discharged in 1834 and became a Publican at the 'United Services' Tavern. Departed per the 'Emma Sherrat' in 1845 for Mauritius with Mr and Mrs Hodges.
