Indentured to Peel but released in 1831 from his indenture. His wife Sarah died 30 April 1837. Was mentioned in the 1837 Census as a victualler from London. Had Fremantle Lots 179, 55 and 56. William remarried Eliza Read 14 June 1838 at Fremantle. Set up a business as a sailmaker and storekeeper in 1843. Wife and children departed the Colony in November 1848 per the 'Waterlily' for Van Diemens Land.
