Martha was the daughter of John and Martha Crisp. They married 18 May 1838 at Fremantle. George and Martha departed for England per the 'Shepherd' in September 1838. George died c1840 in England. Martha returned to the Colony in February 1843 per the 'Elizabeth'. The widow Martha married for a second time to Anton Helmich in January 1844.
