Settled first in Augusta and assisted in the building of the first barracks there with Cook. Had Perth Lot G9 in 1832 but it was resigned. Had Augusta Lots 22 and 44 in 1833. Mary Ann had Augusta Sub C in 1833. Married Mary Ann Baylis (ship unknown) on 18 April 1832. Murdered by aborigines 22 February 1841. A notice of his death was published in the 'Inquirer' 10 March 1841. Mary Ann remarried Robert Heppingstone 1 November 1842. Mary died 1870.
