Married Hannah 2 March 1837 at Perth. Charles was a Perth storekeeper in 1843. He built the first two storey house on the Perth waterfront. Had the 'Commercial Inn' in 1844. He went to the Eastern Colonies with his family in April 1838 per the 'Lord Hobart' and returned 4 June 1841 per 'Kilmaura'. Charles died at the Victorian Goldfields Ballarat 16 December 1853 of TB. His wife Hannah remarried John Enoch Hammond on 11 October 1858. Hannah (Hammond) died 15 October 1901.
