Married Grace 4 August 1802 at Coldridge, Devon, England. John was indentured to Captain Francis Byrne. Had Fremantle Lot 424 in 1833. The family made their home at 'Belmont Farm'. They also operated the 'Mermaid' Tavern and a halfway house between Perth and Guildford. Both businesses were leased from army captain Francis H Byrne (Swan Location 34). They also ran a sawmill on the property. George Hancock took up land at Beverley and John Hancock took up land at York. Grace died 23 November 1833 at Perth and John died 29 November 1838 at Perth.
