George Menzies Bowglass was a Yeoman of 'Berringup' near Mandurah. He was unmarried. Formerly of Denholm, Roxburghshire, Scotland - a gamekeeper. Selected land at Pinjarra with WE Oakley and applied for a spirit licence 9 January 1836. In 1842 he subscribed to the building of a church. Beneficiaries in Scotland. Inquirer 18 April 1860. Small farmer and Police Constable 1838-1852 in the Murray district. George died 13 April 1860.
