Had land at Fremantle in 1833 - Lots 402 and 415. Married Sarah Smithers 17 February 1846 at Perth. Sarah was the daughter of William and Susanna Smithers. In July 1846 became a director of the WA Bank. Had 5,280 acres at Northam which he leased to tenant farmers. On the Board of Public Works and was a shipping agent. Director of Geralding Mining Co. Employed eleven ticket-of-leave men at the mine between 1873 to 1875. Returned to London but retained his interests in Western Australia - his family returned to Western Australia in 1876. Robert Mace Habgood died 29 March 1896 in England.
