Was with Captain James Stirling on the 'Success' in 1827. He married widow of John Lawrence Morley 30 July 1842. JL Morley drowned at Albany in the course of his duty (Albany Harbour Master & Pilot). Peter was Harbour Master between 1834 and 1837 and resigned to resume his career in the Royal Navy as Commander of the 'Champion'. Was Acting Resident Magistrate at Albany in 1840. A Justice of the Peace in 1841. Acquired land at Albany, Plantagenet and Toodyay. Went to England 24 March 1858. Retired in 1864. Died February 1890 at Plymouth, England.
