John was the son of Ann Heading and Luke Leake, brother of Luke and George Seniors. Departed for Mauritius on the 'Tamar' 2 July 1838. He returned in the 'Joshua Carroll' on the 29 September 1838. Came in and out of the Colony. John died 29 July 1872 in England.
