Before his departure to the Colony, Henry married Ann Stafford in 1829. They had six children. Henry was the Assistant Surveyor to the Surveyor General John Septimus Roe. Collector of Revenue and Treasury Clerk in the Colony in1834. He became the Colonial Treasurer in 1850. Was also a MLC. The family had land at Perth Lots X29, X30, X31, X32, L22, Sub 6 between 1832 and 1834. His first wife Anne died 12 September 1850. Henry then married Frances Louisa Bussell on 15 May 1851 at Perth. After a very distinguished career,Henry died of cancer on 12 February 1855. His wife Frances (Fanny) died 7 July 1881. Further reading: 'H.C.
