Married 9 February 1853 at Albany. Mary was the daughter of John Randall and Martha Phillips. Joseph was a foundation member of a timber exporting Vasse company in 1849. Joseph Vernon died 1860 at 'Cattle Chosen' Busselton, Western Australia. Mary Elizabeth died 15 June 1902.
