Married Anne Chapman 23 April 1831 at Fremantle. Anne arrived with her brothers Henry, James and George on the same ship. Settled at Beverley where he had a grant of 1,466 acres at Mt Kokeby. In the York census of 1859 was noted as a farmer of some scale and pastoralist employing a governess (Maria Simpson) and seven others. Chairman of the Beverley Road Board 1874. Secretary of Beverley Agricultural Society 1876. Postmaster at Mourambine 1862. Anne died 19 July 1881 and Charles died 15 September 1886.
