Married Marianne Amelia Corolan Thomson 23 April 1833. Marianne died in India 16 June 1841. Remarried 12 February 1842 to Elizabeth Burke nee Tynan (possibly in India). Samuel was working for the East India Company. Made several trips to India (he was working in the horse trade). Samuel died 30 June 1876 at Fremantle and Elizabeth died 15 January 1878 at Fremantle.
