The couple were both servants for Henty. Mary Ann aged 16, came with her brother John aged 14 (there is no mention of him after 1831). David and Mary Ann were married 6 March 1832 at Perth by Rev. Wittenoom. In 1833 David bought 100 acres of land bordering Mongers Lake. David had Perth Lots F7 and N52 between 1831 and 1834. He also bought a block in his daughter Jessie's name on the corner of Hay and Barrack Sts (Lot P12). The land at Mongers Lake was sold to Thomas Hunt in 1842 for five pounds. His occupation included being a cow doctor, carter, yeoman, labourer and police constable at York. He and Mary had nine children all born in WA, living at Guildford for a time. In 1853 they moved to Ballarat. David returned for awhile but then returned to Victoria. David died in July 1886 and Mary Ann (Marion) died in August 1891 - both are buried at Ballarat, Victoria.
