William and Hester transferred from the ship 'Margaret' to the ship 'Drummore' in Capetown. Gentleman agriculturist, granted 35,000 acres, selecting 5000 acres in the Swan District in 1831. Land at Fremantle - Lots 280, 289 in 1831, Guildford Lot 96 in 1833 and Perth Lot D14 in 1831. Went to England in 1836 and returned on the 'Britomart' in 1838. Was very influential in the Colony. Ill health caused him to return to England in 1844. William died 9 June 1845 in England and Hester died 21 July 1846 (possibly England).
