First cousin of James Stirling. Acting Registrar, later Secretary to the Board of Counsel and Audit. Granted 4,480 acres and selected 4000 acres in the Avon district in 1830. Had Perth Lots C8 and L21 in 1830. William died 14 April 1831 at Perth and is buried at the East Perth Cemetery.
