Shepherd to Captain Irwin. Arrived on an unknown ship in 1837. Married Margaret Smith who arrived on the ship 'Ganges' 15 October 1841. The Adam family were farmers at Elgin, in Scotland. He was killed in Northam in 1848 when clearing his land by moonlight, a tree fell on him.
