John's first wife was Mary Ann Wilkinson - he married her 7 May 1816 at Gransborough, England. She died 29 April 1824 at Birdingbury, England. Married for a second time on 25 December 1826 in England. John and Rebecca Truslove sailed for the Swan River Colony on the 'Skerne' arriving at Fremantle in January 1830. Children with them were Betsy from his first marriage, John Gibbs and Eliza. Indentured to John Butler. John Truslove worked for W Nairn at Canning. He obtained Lot 239 Bay St Fremantle on 27 July 1831 and four more children were born. John died of tetanus in 1846 at Fremantle. His wife Rebecca married a second time to William Taylor in 1854. His son John Gibbs married Charlotte Hannah Gee on 16 February 1849 and they had a family of fifteen children.
