Selected 2560 acres at Plantagenet and bought 4000 acres in Avon. Had an Albany Suburban Lot in 1834. Held civil appointments at a young age - was Clerk to Govenor Stirling and visited England in 1839. Went to Bunbury and was appointed Resident Magistrate - his home was at 'Bury Hill'. Transferred to Geraldton in 1870. Was also at Albany. Married Louisa Clifton 1 June 1842 at Australind. Louisa was born in1814, she died 13 October 1880 (Lousia arrived on the 'Parkfield' 18 March 1841). George died 16 October 1895.
