Assisted surveyor Alfred Hillman in 1833-4 with his work in the Albany/Augusta area. In 1840 bought land from Peel at the Murray River. Departed the Colony with the Regiment in 1840. His land was managed by Eacott. Robert died on 15 October 1842 at the Regimental Hospital, India.
