Married first Esther Price (Rice) 01 August 1855. She arrived 1852 on the 'Will Watch'. Esther died 28 June 1856. John then married a second time to Mary McBryde - she arrived 13 March 1855 on the 'Berkshire'. John accompanied Lieutenant Bunbury on his first land journey in 1836. Worked for Ommaney for five years and also had a sandalwood licence in 1858. John died 8 August 1875 at Picton.
