John married 22 April 1829, Williams, England. Indentured to Henty. Was attacked by natives on the York Road and he was severely wounded. Early in 1834 he jumped from a six metre rock at Greenmount now known as 'Chippers Leap'. First paid police constable between 1843 and 1850. John died 29 January 1871 at Perth and Mary died 28 October 1878 at Perth.
