Came in as a servant to Captain James McDermott. Employed as a carpenter at Fremantle when he married Mary Thorpe in December 1847 (she was the daughter of Benjamin and Jane Thorpe). Chow died 13 June 1877 and Mary died 1886 at Fremantle.
