John was possibly an associate of Lionel Lukin having served in the Russian Army. He was a Ferryman at North Fremantle during the 1830/40's. Land at Fremantle Lot 350 in 1833. He was a Perth Gaoler in 1849. Lighthouse Keeper 1862-1873. Married Frances Dixon 8 July 1844. Francis died in 1851. John then married Isabella Frazer on 8 November 1861 at Fremantle. John died 25 June 1873 at Fremantle.
