Brought out by the Children's Friend Society. Apprenticed to JR Phillips, a farmer on the Canning River. Followed Phillips to King George's Sound when Phillips was appointed Government Resident. Went to South Australia with Phillips and returned on the 'Merope' in 1852. William Scott married Mary Keane at Albany 16 September 1854. Mary arrived per the 'Travancore' 13 January 1853. Had eleven children. Was a sheep farmer at Albany in the late 1860's. There is a death recorded for a 'Mary Scott' aged 39 years in 1875.
