Mary was brought out by the Children's Friend Society. In 1841 she was apprenticed to Mr Lamb at Fremantle. On 7 December 1841 at Fremantle she married James Tuckey, son of John Tuckey. Went to the eastern colonies with wife and children in 1852 on the 'Merope'. Wife and Helen
returned per the 'Gem' in 1862'. He returned on the same ship later that year. Applied for Augusta Lots in 1866. James died at Mandurah in February 1895, his wife Mary Ann died in June 1895.
