Believed to have arrived in 1835 - then left the Colony. Married Ann Newall 4 March 1836 at Launceston, Van Diemens Land. Ann was born 21 April 1820 at London, England. Sailed to Albany and signed a contract to build 'Strawberry Farm' for Sir Richard Spencer. Spent a few years at Albany and then returned to Victoria. Then went to South Australia where he died 3 October 1887 at Edithburg, South Australia. Ann died 19 August 1907 also at Edithburg. It is believed he had 6 sons and 10 daughters. One son settled in Western Australia.
