Joseph Keys Logue MA (Trinity College Dublin) obtained his degree at the age of 21. He inherited an estate in Londonderry and there opened a school for the sons of gentlemen. He decided to emigrate to the Swan River Colony. The Perth Gazette announced on the 22 August 1837 that the Brig Hero - 400 tons had arrived at the Cape and amongst the passengers were Mr & Mrs Joseph Logue and eight children. Owned land at Chittering and leased property near Northam. Moved to the Harvey area after 1860. Joseph Keys died 20 April 1884 at Swan and Elizabeth died at Pinjarra on 26 October 1876.
