Selected 4000 acres at Toodyay in 1832. James had Fremantle Lots 324, 327, 329 all in 1832. James and Hannah returned to England with their family per the ship 'Shepherd'. James died in England in 1844. Their last born son Joseph was born in England. Hannah returned with 3 children on the ship 'Dispatch' 6 December 1847 and conducted a store at Fremantle. The Toodyay property was shared by two sons. Hannah died 18 April 1886 at Fremantle.
