Welcome to the Swan River Pioneers 1829-1838 Inc. - a place to connect with Western Australia's colonial history and be part of a group linked directly to emigrants who arrived on our shores between the years 1829 and 1838.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of Western Australian land. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders and celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of communities past and present who worked together to build our state during the years 1829 and 1838.

12 March - Tour of St George's Cathedral

Join us for a free, 1-hour tour on the holy grounds of this magnificent, historical building in the heart of our city. Learn about the rich tales of place, people and architecture while taking quiet moments to reflect and connect.

Following the tour, we will gather for coffee and company at the on-site Cafe.

21 March 2026 - Luncheon at Moore & Moore Cafe

Set within a beautiful heritage building in the Historic West End of Fremantle, Moore & Moore Cafe is surrounded by emerging artists, visionaries, architects, designers, boat builders, historians, environmentalists, professors and lovers of good food. Join us for a seated lunch and hear about the history of the building and the area our ancestors first walked upon when they came to the Swan River Colony almost 200 years ago.
